Maude's Story
|
You might have noticed that I'm missing an eye. That's a long story: I had a litter of kittens in a garden in Los Altos, and injured my eye in a juniper bush. A real nice person started to feed me and noticed my situation and rescued me and got me the veterinary care I needed. Everyone thought I was feral and so they kept me in a cage until my eye healed, but one day my foster mom came to feed me and I purred and rolled over for a belly scratch. I guess those humans just couldn't understand. I'm a really sweet cat.
I'm a foodie. My foster mom thinks I probably need therapy because I love to eat and eat -- I think it goes back to when I was roaming the streets and always hungry. Anyway, I'm really fat and need to lose weight, so I need a foster home where my foster mom or dad can give me some tough love so that I can lose weight. Some of the other cats at my foster home pick on me because I'm fat and only have one eye, and when that happens I just head for the comfort food.
Pick me!
